A getaway not to be missed! Located 80 kilometers from Paris, Giverny is a charming village on the borders of Ile de France and Normandy. This is where Claude Monet decided to reside and satisfy his passion for painting, gardening and photography. The gardens and the house of Claude Monet were bequeathed by his son Michel to the Academy of Fine Arts in 1966. The property has nowadays been converted into a museum where reproductions of the greatest paintings by Monet are exhibited and the famous recreated gardens.
